International Listings has been a leader in online luxury classifieds advertisements since 2001. The company was acquired in 2007 by two longtime friends, Andy Hagans and Brian Thibault.

While looking online for beachfront condos in the Virgin Islands, Brian and Andy realized there were very few quality Web sites dedicated entirely to specialized real estate in the global market. Most sites try to be "one size fits all" travel and real estate sites, but fail to provide many listings of specialized properties in more remote or exotic locations. The two friends bought the existing International Listings Web site and re-launched it with a new design and new features, planning to fill the need in the market for international property classifieds.
